How to delete LOQMail from a MS Windows System

The following three (3) steps show you how to remove LOQMail from a MS Windows System. The instructions are require the user have adminstrative access to the computer system.

  1. Shut off LOQMail, if running.
    1. On the system tray, locate the LOQMail icon.
    2. Right click on the icon and choose "Exit." A slider message should appear alerting the user that LOQMail is shutting down.
  2. Remove LOQMail from your system
    1. Go to Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs
    2. Select "LOQClient" and click the "Remove" button. The LOQClient 2.0 programs and configurations settings should quickly be uninstalled from your system.
    3. Close the Control Panel Pane.
  3. Remove the LOQMail account from your Email Client. Remember, always archive any private emails you wish to preserve from the account you will be removing.

      1. Go to Tools > E-mail Accounts
      2. In the E-mail Accounts Dialog box which opens, select the radio box for "View or Change Existing E-mail Accounts"
      3. Click the "Next" button
      4. Select your LOQMail Private E-mail Account as the E-mail Account you wish to remove.
      5. Click the "Remove" Button
      6. When the Account Manager Confirmation Dialog box appears, confirm the account removal by clicking the "Yes" button.
      7. Click the "Finish" button in the E-mail Accounts Dialog

      1. Goto Tools > Account Settings
      2. In the Account Settings Dialog, select the LOQMail Private E-mail Account you wish to remove.
      3. Click on the remove icon in the Account Settings Dialog.
      4. When the Account Manager Confirmation Dialog box appears, confirm the account removal by clicking the "Yes" button.
      5. Click the "Close" button in the E-mail Accounts Dialog

      1. Goto Tools > Account Settings
      2. In the left hand pane of the Account Settings Dialog, select the LOQMail Private E-mail Account you wish to remove.
      3. On the bottom of the left hand navigation pane of the Account Settings dialog box, click the Account Actions drop down list and select "Remove Account."
      4. When the Remove Account confirmation dialog box appears, choose "OK."
      5. In the left hand pane of the Account Settings Dialog select the "Outgoing Server (SMTP)" item.
      6. In the right hand pane of the Account Settings dialog box select your LOQMail private email SMTP service, and choose remove. Please note, your LOQMail private Email SMTP Server cannot be removed if it is listed as your default SMTP server.
      7. When the "Delete Server" confirmation dialog box appears, click "Yes."
      8. Click "OK" to close the Account Settings Dialog box
